Turkish Holiday Phone Announcements for 2026–2027
15 phone and voicemail announcements for Turkish public and religious holidays, including Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and Republic Day, with 2026–2027 dates.
A holiday announcement is a short phone or voicemail message that tells callers, on days your business is closed, when you are closed, when you will reopen and what they can do in the meantime. This pack contains 15 ready-to-use announcements for Turkey's religious holidays (Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha), national holidays, year end, annual leave or refurbishment closures, Ramadan opening hours, the half-day holiday eve, the busy period after a holiday and on-call routing. Religious holiday dates move every year, so the scripts use placeholders such as [Eve date] and [Reopening date]; the 2026 and 2027 dates are in the table below.

Sources: the 2026 religious days, 2027 religious days, 2026 public holidays and 2027 public holidays lists published by Turkey's Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet); the 1 pm start on holiday eves and on 28 October comes from Law No. 2429 on National Holidays and General Holidays. Dates are updated every year; last checked 2026-10-22. In 2027, 19 May falls on the fourth day of Eid al-Adha.
These scripts are written for English-speaking callers, such as international guests, patients or customers; the Turkish version of this pack is written for Turkish speech engines. Switch the announcement on at closing time and remember to remove it when you reopen. To avoid losing calls during the holiday, offer a voicemail option; in Speakline, a voice agent can take appointment requests and record messages during holidays and hand the call to an on-call operator when needed. If you record calls, keep your KVKK call recording notice in holiday announcements too. For everyday greeting and after-hours scripts, see the greeting and after-hours announcements pack.

For 2027: [Eve date] is Saturday 15 May, the holiday runs from 16 to 19 May and [Reopening date] is Thursday 20 May. That year 19 May falls within the holiday, so no separate 19 May message is needed.

After the holiday: busy period
Thank you for calling [Business name]. We're very busy after the holiday, so it may take us longer than usual to answer. Please stay on the line, or leave your name and number after the tone and we'll call you back in order. You can also reach us at [Web address]. Thank you for your patience.
Play this instead of your usual hold message on the first working days after a holiday. Calling back messages in order is how you recover requests missed during the holiday; see our article on missed calls and automatic callbacks. To confirm appointments that moved to after the holiday, use our appointment reminder call scripts.
